The following terms apply to ALL Virtual D&D Weekend DMs with no exceptions. Other terms may apply to DMs for other BMG events:
- DMs are paid based on the number of paid players at their table. You’ll get 70% of the ticket price after processing fees.
- Regular Four-hour games are priced at $20 (for a 6-player table), while two-hour games are $10 (for a 6-player table).
- DMs who want to charge a higher price for their games may work with the organizers to do so, and still get the same cut of 70%.
- Learn-to-Play and One D&D playtest sessions are subsidized by WotC, so ticket prices are lower, but DMs will still get paid based on the standard rate above. The same goes for “Buddy Tickets”, and other games with reduced prices.
- Special events like epics, opens, and other multi-table games have a surcharge to cover admin cost. The DMs’ cut still comes from the base price but a $5 surcharge goes to cover the epic admins. Lead admins will be paid more than the assistant admins.
